Broadbelt Subproject - Cell-free Biomanufacturing Institute

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

This effort is designed to investigate the scale-up of cell-free expression reactions; enhance domestic manufacturing readiness for products where development time and scale-up are critical; establish the capability to configure, manufacture and deploy point-of-need cell-free diagnostic sensors; demonstrate an expanded set of products suitable for cell-free biomanufacturing; and transform synthetic biology education, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) outreach, and workforce development for biomanufacturing in order to produce least one DoD relevant product using these methods.
