Description
A Wilson fellowship will enable me to submit several papers for review by top journals in performance studies, Middle East studies, ethnomusicology, and anthropology; co-edit a special issue journal in Middle Eastern ethnomusicology (including authorship of the introduction and a paper); and submit a book manuscript for review by a university press (including final revisions of the manuscript). Completing these projects in AY 2017-18 ensures that this research will be published with sufficient time for its potential significance to be assessed in advance of tenure review in 2020 and clears space for new research projects.
