Project Details
Description
The NIAID 2017 Addendum Guidelines for the Prevention of Peanut Allergy recommend early introduction of peanut containing foods among infants to prevent peanut allergy development, especially for infants at high-risk of developing peanut allergy. However, it is unclear if parents/caregivers are adhering to the guidelines and how they introduce other common food allergens to their infant(s). The goal of this study is to administer a national survey to parents/caregivers to assess their knowledge, beliefs, and current practices concerning early infant allergenic food introduction.
