Chemically produced neural progenitors loaded with ferumoxide-protamine sulfate for visualization of gliomas

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The goal of this project is to evaluate the tropism of chemically produced neural progenitors (CiNPCs) loaded with ferumoxide-protamine sulfate to D54MG using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and as such their potential to visualize glioma. Specifically, Northwestern University investigators will conduct experiments proposed in the Specific Aim 2. Specific Aim 2 will test the hypothesis that GCM-pre-exposed and FE-Pro-loaded CiNPCs will exhibit tropism to D54-MG glioma xenografts in vivo which can be monitored by MRI.
