Improved Whole-Brain Spectroscopic MRI for Radiation Treatment Planning (Shim)

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Dr. Cooper will supervise the development of bioinformatics and software methods in close coordination with Drs. Shim and Maudsley. He will provide technical direction on the design of BrICS including data ingestion and sMRI data processing algorithms. He will help to develop and optimize the performance of these algorithms, and advise how to connect BrICS to clinical databases using software APIs. Dr. Cooper is an Associate Professor of Pathology and Director for the Division of Computational Pathology at Northwestern University. His research develops software infrastructure and machine learning algorithms to support cancer research through the integration of imaging, digital pathology, and genomic data. His training is in the areas of image analysis and machine learning, with an emphasis on large-scale problems and high-performance computing. He also has significant background in study design for algorithm validation. He will be also responsible for coordinating and supervising statistical activities for the project. He will review the integrity and statistical soundness of all studies.
