Project Details
Description
Olvera de la Cruz will guide experimental studies in the supramolecular design of peptide immunofibers for use in protein capture, separation, and recovery. The Olvera de la Cruz Lab will develop multiscale models to elucidate the thermodynamic assembly and kinetic pathways of immunofibers and provide guiding principles to design amphiphiles and direct co-assembly strategies to optimize the ligand presentation (both density and distribution) for maximal protein capture. Molecular modeling at multiple length-scales—atomistic, coarse-grained, mesoscopic—in complement with advanced sampling techniques will be used.
