Complex Oxide Heterostructures

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

I-Cheng Tung, researcher at Northwestern University, shall perform research under the supervision of Prof. Michael Bedzyk (Northwestern Univ.) and Dr. John Freeland (Argonne National Lab). Mr. Tung’s research will involve the study of complex oxide heterostructures. He will perform experiments, interpret their results, and prepare articles for publication in scientific journals. X-ray spectroscopy and scattering experimental work will be performed at the Advanced Photon Source. Preliminary X-ray experimental work will be performed at the Northwestern University X-ray Diffraction Facility. All data and associated graphs, calculations and other results of this effort will be provided to Dr. John Freeland of ANL prior to the end of the contract period.
