Project Details
Description
This proposal requests funding for the conference ''Dynamics Days 2019'' which will take place in Evanston, Illinois, on January 4-6 of 2019. Dynamics Days is an annual international conference focused on nonlinear dynamics, chaos, and their applications which has been running in the US for 36 years. The funds will be used in their majority to provide travel awards to students without other sources of support. This year Dynamics Days will have 17 invited speakers, a similar number of contributed talks, and poster sessions, showcasing work on fluid dynamics, biological systems, dynamics on networks, nonlinear waves, and other areas. The participants represent a broad range of disciplines, including physics, mathematics, engineering, and biological sciences.
