Construction of the COUPP-500kg Bubble Chamber for Dark Matter Detection

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Northwestern will build a Data Acquisition System (DAQ) suitable for the COUPP-500 experiment, including an FPGA-based video trigger and image acquisition system. The supported personnel will work with Fermilab engineers and technicians to design and prototype the COUPP-500 hydraulic and temperature control systems, and will interface the DAQ to these systems. The supported personnel will also contribute to general COUPP analysis and calibration activities.
