The work scope involves research program at the Nuclear Engineering (NE) Division of Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) toward development of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and high-frequency microwave backscattering for in-situ nondestructive evaluation of chemo-mechanical damage caused in concrete by alkali silica reaction (ASR). The objective of this study is to develop a mathematical model of ASR damage in concrete for interpretation of measurement results performed in accelerated testing involving ASTM C1293 prism specimens, and reinforced concrete blocks.
