Project Details
Description
The proposed work will create physics-based models of exploration for acquiring information about unknown or partially unknown systems evolving in time. The research will answer the question of how an autonomous system should react, given its resources and whatever information it has at a particular moment, to the need for more information either about itself or its environment. This capability is critical to autonomous systems that need to make sophisticated decisions in the face of substantial uncertainty.
