Description

Northwestern University (NU) will collaborate with the University of Colorado, Boulder, to provide instructional materials and professional development materials in the NGSX platform to support this three-year project. In particular, NU will • Develop and co-facilitate professional learning activities within the NGSX platform on teaching with NGSS-designed units to support teachers in years 1 and 2 of the project summer institute • Develop and lead virtual support sessions for teachers working with the project instructional materials • Adapt and provide access to phenomenon-based units chosen for scale-up in Denver Public Schools for use in Denver classrooms • Evaluate student growth on a sample of student work in all three years • Contribute to external research publications developed from the project.
