In order to exploit a full array of potential organic bioelectronic applications, organic electrochemical transistor (OECT) integrated circuitry is required, comprising of both n-type and p-type devices. Currently, the performance of electron transporting polymer semiconductors in OECTs lags orders of magnitude behind the state-of-the-art hole transporting counterparts. This project will use synthetic approaches to develop high performance, stable n-type mixed conductors which will be used for complementary integrated circuits for biosignal amplification.
