Detector Design and Fabrication of Lithography Masks for Thermal TES Calorimeters

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Northwestern University will design and model a TES-based cryogenic calorimeter for low-threshold particle detection. The design uses an independent TES thermometer chip attached to a target material. We will optimize the design for use in the Q-Array detectors at MIT, and will fabricate the lithography masks needed to fabricate the TES thermometers.
