Project Details
Description
Oxidations, namely, reactions that add oxygen to chemicals, comprise 30% of all industrial chemical processes and impact many fields such as energy, medicine, and polymers. From a green chemistry perspective, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a preferred reagent for oxidations because it provides a high percentage of active oxygen and produces only water byproduct.2 While H2O2 is commercially available, its ease of decomposition and hazardous in storage and transportation constitute major cost and safety issues
