Description

Scope of current project and study aims: Aim 1: To finalize the creation of the visual educational tool for pregnant and postpartum patients. Aim 2: To evaluate patient understanding of the signs/symptoms of DVTs following the visual educational tool. This will be accomplished through a mixed-methods approach including patient surveys and qualitative interviews. Aim 3: To evaluate how obstetricians and midwives would like to use the patient educational tool and what language they would want patients to use when communicating concerns about blood clots with them.
