Project Details

Description

The proposed study aims to uncover the structure of the NP Ellipsis (henceforth NPE) site, which can provide insights into the mechanisms underlying the antecedent retrieval process. A detailed study of the syntax of NPE is needed in order to understand what kind of retrieval processes best characterize identifying and recovering the NPE. Based on the syntactic studies on NPE, this study aims to reveal how structural information constrains antecedent retrieval processes.
