Elisa Gordon VA IPA - Spark Seed Funding

Dr. Gordon will be responsible for overseeing the VA Innovation Network Seed - funded project as the Principal Investigator, "Empowering Veterans to Communicate with Healthcare Providers to Improve CKD Care". In this capacity, Dr. Gordon will be responsible for managing a research assistant, overseeing data collection and data entry activities at Hines VA, data analysis, and report write up. As the project is a multi-site study, Dr. Gordon will also coordinate data collection activities across both study sites, and coordinate collaborations among co-investigators. Dr. Gordon will also be responsible for the project oversight, monitoring, and project timeline, including preparing and managing the IRB protocol. Dr. Gordon will work with the nephrology department to identify ways for the Question Prompt Sheet to be optimally implemented into routine care, as a result of the project period. As part of this funded project, Dr. Gordon is expected to partake in VA Innovation Network-sponsored meetings in Washington, DC, and through webinars.
