Project Details
Description
OCTA is poised to be a useful diagnostic tool for AMD. The current challenge with OCTA is
that the images can be difficult to interpret without proper experience. In AMD, CNV and choroidal vessels in areas of GA take on similar appearances on OCTA, presenting the opportunity for misinterpretation. The project will result in a novel validated algorithm towards the correct
interpretation of OCTA images in cases with AMD. Ultimately, since OCTA is a new technology, it is imperative that steps be taken to promote correct interpretation of images.
