Establishing the Chicago Movement Coalition for Parkinson’s disease and clinical trial education in under-represented communities

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The over-arching outcome of our community program directly aligns with a main focus of the Parkinson’s Foundation Community Grant: establishment of a sustainable method of Parkinson’s disease and clinical trial education and cultivation of increased trial recruitment for individuals under-represented in the Parkinson’s disease (PD) community. More specifically, our intended program outcomes are 1) creation of a community-level stakeholder comprised coalition; 2) development of a coalition-directed educational toolkit; 3) utilization of the toolkit in the coalition’s communities and eventual scalability nation-wide.
