Examining the Impact and Sustainability of the Mothers and Babies Course

This project will focus on three children’s health care topics: 1) infant development and behavior, 2) infant-parent interaction/attachment, and 3) use of preventive services. These three areas of focus are highly correlated with postpartum depression. The lack of HV program impact on infant and young child outcomes and the likely influence of maternal depression on this limited program impact suggest the need to provide HV programs with additional services and supports to address maternal depression among their clients.
