Exploring putative associations between thrombocytopenia and bromodomain modulation

Summary We propose a number of in vitro and in vivo experiments to assess the direct effect of BET compounds on the megakaryocyte lineage. We anticipate finding that the compound either induces apoptosis or impaired terminal maturation of megakaryocytes. Together, our studies will elucidate the biological and molecular effects of such compounds on the megakaryocyte lineage.
