Description

This project focuses on studies of disordered mineral metabolism as a risk factor for stroke and other cardiovascular diseases in the Northern Manhattan Study (NOMAS). This is the first large-scale study of disordered mineral metabolism and stroke in a general population without high rates of chronic kidney disease. As an expert in disordered mineral metabolism in chronic kidney disease and the general population, Dr. Wolf will assist the PI in executing all aspects of the award.
