FUSE for Southern California Schools 2023

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

FUSE, an innovative choice-based, interest-driven STEAM education program through Northwestern University, facilitates learning through ‘making’ and develops 21st century skills while building collaborative, youth-centered learning communities. FUSE is designed by learning science researchers and is implemented by schools across the country. The Mazda Foundation has awarded a $200,000 grant to FUSE to scale the program to 16 new high needs schools located in Southern California (specifically in Los Angeles and Orange Counties). These partnerships will be developed in two cohorts: the first cohort will be selected in Spring 2023, for implementation in 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years, and the second cohort will be selected in Spring 2024, for implementation in the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years.
