Description
This GOALI project brings together the faculty from Industrial Engineering and Management
Sciences and Emergency Medicine at Northwestern University and Chicago Event Management
(CEM), which manages the Chicago Marathon and Shamrock Shuffle. The proposed work will advance
CEM’s course design planning capabilities through data analytics and operations research methodologies. The models and solution methodologies will be designed to make the best use of key data streams available during the planning phases. This begins with detailed analysis of both input and output data from the event.
