Project Details
Description
The NU team will be responsible for the development of an efficient computational contact micromechanics procedure for computing accurate 3D subsurface elasto-plastic cyclic stress fields for bearing steels with varying size carbide inclusions subjected to RCF, and will assist on RCF life prediction using experimentally calibrated 3D subsurface stress fields and the enhancement of the LP model.
