Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

“This ACA summer school program is designed to instruct young scientists in the techniques and theory of X-ray diffraction as applied to Small Molecule Crystallography. The course is designed to accommodate 25 to 30 students. Students will be accommodated in on-campus dormitory space. The course is not limited to domestic students; international students will be encouraged to apply. Provision will be made for international applications for early acceptance to the course in order to enable the visa application process to proceed more rapidly. There will be modest support for travel should need be demonstrated. Students will be expected to collect data, solve and refine and present their findings to their classmates on a crystal of their own. Depending on the class size and number of available samples this may be arranged such that small groups of students work together to generate the data.”
