HARC Core 2: Genetics

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The Hultquist lab at Northwestern has collaborated with the HARC Center for three years helping to develop many of the technologies and preliminary data that enable the above workflow, most notably those in Aim 2. They will specifically be responsible for conducting arrayed CRISPR-Cas9 gene knock-out in primary T cells and macrophages for targeted mechanistic study across Projects. The lab will provide edited cells, relevant reagents, guide RNA knock-out data, and HIV phenotypic information as requested by the Project Leads. Dr. Hultquist is an HIV molecular virologist with over 13 years of experience in the field, and originally developed these approaches in collaboration with HARC Center members. He will also play a vital role in directing and advising the experimental design, data interpretation, and mechanistic steps to be taken downstream.
