Project Details
Description
SPECIFIC AIM: To elucidate the roles of B7H1 and CTLA-4 in glioma-mediated immunosuppression
Challenge: To investigate and reverse the immunosuppressive roles of B7H1 and CTLA-4 in GBM.
Approach: From human specimens, murine models, and cell culture lines; we will attempt to further characterize the immunosuppressive mechanisms and expression of B7H1 and CTLA-4 in GBM and low grade gliomas.
Impact: The results obtained from this project will provide a natural extension of the current available pharmacological agents which inhibit B7-H1, PD-1, and CTLA-4.
