BEA shall have the subcontractor instruct, train, and demonstrate approaches that will contribute to the report on (i) system design charts and (ii) representing applicable research and development approaches to the following grand challenges identified in nuclear materials by the Department of Energy discussed in the scope of work.

This Statement of Work (SOW) will deliver on a summary report for each of these grand challenges.

Anticipated Benefits

Reporting on the viable alternatives and approaches to achieve early down selection and survey methods over a condensed time schedule will benefit BEA. The incurred costs and consumables are significantly less compared to internal costs, and support at large the academic community. The attractiveness of this approach and consulting is to provide an early indication of the successes and pitfalls associated with combining computational graded materials design with high throughput experimentation.
