Description

Investigators and research staff in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Infectious Diseases, as specified in the budget attachment, will provide clinical and research support for the implementation and conduct of IMPAACT network protocols involving HIV-infected adult and pregnant women. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to: day-to-day clinical management of pregnant women enrolled in the CRS perinatal clinical studies; leadership at NU/NMH for CRS program activities and protocols involving adult and pregnant women; identification of subjects, screening and enrollment; follow-up visits, procedures/assessments, data collection, sample collection; compliance with applicable regulations and Human Subjects protections; maintenance of primary data sources subject to NIH audit; appropriate coordination and communication with the Principal Investigator, Research Coordinators and laboratory personnel at Lurie Children’s. Expenses for patient care and subject stipends are to be used for all active IMPAACT studies at the site. Additional resources for these expenses may be requested as justified by study activity.
