Project Details
Description
In this proposal we will prepare KD-specific antibodies from these plasmablasts and use these antibodies as tools to detect KD-specific antigens. Identification of these antigens will provide important information about the etiology of KD and have a major impact on the field of pediatrics, by allowing for improved diagnosis, treatment, and prevention and reducing pediatric health care costs, morbidity, and mortality from the long-term consequences of childhood coronary artery aneurysms.
