Description

Technical Objectives –Identify PYAM yarn configuration that meets necessary tensile force and strain requirements for sufficient actuation of a 4 DOF finger model –Determine CLR sensing system configuration that provides adequate feedback to predict 5 predetermined user intended motions using a control system –Demonstrate integration of PYAMs and CLR sensing system into partial prototype –Design a preliminary concept of a full hand prototype with four fingers, a thumb, weighing less than 3 pounds, and necessary system components in a 6”x6”x4” backpack weighing less than 7 pounds
