Description

For more than a decade, the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS) has partnered with the Mental Health Services and Policy Program (MHSPP) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine to provide technical assistance, implementation support, and program evaluation for a wide range of initiatives. Current projects include providing support for DCFS’ systemwide implementation of standardized assessment, support for DCFS Clinical Division programs such as Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS), Screening, Assessment and Support Services (SASS), the Office of Delinquency Prevention and Restorative Justice (ODPRJ), and Placement Administration, and support for DCFS’ trauma initiatives. Other innovative work includes supporting residential treatment and performance measures and supporting initiatives related to the B.H. Consent Decree.
