Project Details

Description

This project will provide both conceptual and practical advances to reduce opioid use throughout the ISQIC collaborative and make opioid use safer. This project will focus on developing the educational materials and the intervention components as well as adding the necessary features to our internal data collection systems to allow us to study the effect of our implementation on opioid use, adverse events, and use of alternatives. Furthermore, we will iteratively test and improve the intervention to maximize effectiveness. This project will improve opioid use and prescribing habits, reduce patient and societal harm due to excess opioids, and provide a generalizable framework for tailored implementation of opioid minimization techniques.
