Project Details
Description
Dr. Stephen D. Miller and Dr. Xunrong Luo will collaborate with Dr. Bernhard J. Hering and Dr. Melanie Graham at the University of Minnesota and Dr. Haval Shirwan and Dr. Esma Yolcu at the University of Louisville on the project titled ‘Immune-modifying nanoparticles to promote tolerance to SA-FasL-engineered islets’. More specifically, the Drs. Miller and Luo will interact with the other investigators in designing experiments, interpreting results, and writing progress reports and manuscripts. The experiments will be performed at the University of Minnesota testing immune-modifying nanoparticles previously developed by Dr. Miller and his collaborators and SA-FasL chimeric proteins previously developed by Drs. Shirwan and Yolcu.
