Implementation of Optimal Venous Thromboembolism Prophylaxis in Diverse Hospitals

To iteratively adapt a bundle of interventions (“VTE Intervention Bundle”) that address hospitals’ failures in postoperative VTE prophylaxis. A mixed-method evaluation of the Bundle’s implementation at 3 diverse hospitals will lead to development of a “Postoperative VTE Prophylaxis Toolkit,” comprised of the interventions enhanced by principles learned from how hospitals choose and adapt the interventions to address their local barriers to implementation.
