Project Details
Description
Co-principal investigator Jonathan Guryan (PhD, MIT, economics) will work with University of Chicago co-PIs Monica Bhatt (PhD, University of Michigan, education policy), and Michael LaForest (PhD, University of Virginia, economics). Dr. Guryan is Professor of Human Development and Social Policy at Northwestern University and co-director of the UChicago Education Lab. Dr. Guryan has served as a PI on all past evaluations of SAGA Innovations, including our current study examining the trade-offs between the scale of SAGA’s programming and the program’s effectiveness. All three investigators have worked together and in partnership with SAGA Innovations on evaluating current pilots of a lower-dosage version of SAGA’s tutoring model in Chicago and New York, and all parties enjoy a collaborative and strong working relationship.
