Description
The incumbent will provide medical advice and consultation while working with DHQP to develop and maintain innovative solutions for surveillance data collection regarding emerging issues among long term care facilities. The scientific and technical guidance will assist with the development of methods for data collection, evaluation of data collection, quality control, and data utilization methods to study health care associated infections and other issues regarding patient safety. Dr. Rowe will advise DHQP on clinical and technical issues for which internal DHQP expertise is insufficient or altogether lacking for surveillance decisions. Finally, the incumbent will participate actively in DHQP’s discussions and decisions with professional groups, healthcare facilities and systems, and other public and private sector organizations for which her knowledge and professional standing will enrich the process and enhance the outcomes.
