Description

Specific aim(s)/objective(s): The overall goal of this study is to improve access to care for dementia patients by providing Internet-based video speech-language therapy (SLT) using a personalized web-application. Aim 1 will determine if Internet-based SLT provides significant gains in functional communication and quality of life measurements after 8 weekly therapy sessions. Aim 2 will compare outcomes from participants who receive 3 booster “check-in” sessions and non-check-ins (who do not receive extra sessions) in order to determine if extra sessions deliver significant benefits.
