Description
John Slocum is currently developing provider educational models and measuring adherence to new composite Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) process measures evaluating a patient's entire stay at 51 member hospitals in Illinois. This collaborative has extensive experience working directly with hospitals on VTE prophylaxis interventions. This program is one of eight programs nationwide to be recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a healthcare-associated VTE prevention champion.
Mr. Slocum will focus on hospital enrollment and coordinating training efforts of VA providers at the Illinois Surgical Quality Improvement Collaborative (ISQIC).
