Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Our main goal is to correlate macular and disk hypoperfusion with AD severity in individuals with aMCI and eAD. We will use OCTA to examine vessel density (VD), microcapillary VD, vessel length density (VLD), adjusted flow index (AFI), and RNFL thickness in the parafoveal superficial capillary plexus (SCP), as well as in the radial peripapillary capillary (RPC) and superficial vascular complex (SVC) of the peripapillary region. We will recruit the same study population as our study conducted in 2017 and evaluate potential cognitive decline to produce a longitudinal dataset. We will aim to identify vascular measures that can reliably predict cognitive decline in these individuals.
