Description
Northwestern University’s project investigates the development of professional vision as teachers participate in Learning Labs developed and facilitated by the Teaching Channel, a video showcase of effective teaching practices in the United States. Professional vision involves the ability to notice and interpret significant features of classroom interactions. This project aims to develop a reliable assessment of professional vision using the Teaching Channel online platform. Using this assessment, the project will explore the extent to which teachers develop professional vision around key practices in science and mathematics teaching as they participate in a Learning Lab.
