Leveraging the Microbiome, Local Admixture, and Machine Learning to Optimize Anticoagulant Pharmacogenomics in Medically Underserved Patients

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Work at Northwestern University will include work performed under supervision of Dr. Minoli Perera. This will include estimation of local genomic ancestry in diverse cohorts for which genome-wide data is available. A postdoctoral researcher from Dr. Perera’s lab will perform these analyses and make bioinformatic pipelines available for estimation of local ancestry. Dr. Perera will also provide expertise in estimation and application of local ancestry data and warfarin dose estimation using pharmacogenomic data in diverse populations. Dr. Perera will also make existing clinical and genetic data on Latino and African American populations available for the project.
