Lung Screening via Biophotonic Analysis of Nanoarchitecture of Buccal Cells

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The overall goal of this project is to develop an inexpensive, accurate and minimally intrusive prescreening technique for lung cancer among current/past smokers by the optical analysis of the buccal (cheek) cells. This test will be simple enough to be performed by the primary care physician or dentist during an annual examination to determine who needs low dose CT (LDCT) screening.
