Description

The Dahl group at Northwestern will provide support for PLC Systems and related operations for the LUX-ZEPLIN experiment at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) Laboratory. Support will include work at the SURF site and work with the Fermilab PPD Controls Group. 1. Key Personnel Eric Dahl will support the continued development and refining of Process Control Narratives for xenon handling, liquid nitrogen distribution, vacuum and high voltage systems. Dahl will also manage (and contribute to) PLC Programming by the Fermilab PPD Controls Group and PLC Quality Assurance activities performed at the Sanford site. 2. Members of the Dahl group at Northwestern will provide on-site (Sanford) support for PLC Commissioning activities, including making connections to new instruments and performing Quality Assurance on instrument readout and process control algorithms. Support of travel-related costs by LZ collaboration personnel in support of LZ systems tests and assembly, installation, commissioning and operations of LZ systems and experiment. • Travel by LZ collaboration personnel to LZ collaboration facilities. • Travel by LZ collaboration personnel to LZ vendor facilities.
