Pre-eclampsia is a leading cause of maternal morbidity and mortality and it is caused by an incorrect placental development that in time leads to clinical symptoms in genetically predisposed pregnant women. In this study, we propose to understand the impact of immune disfunction in HIV infected pregnant women treated with antiretroviral therapy from conception on the development of PE.
