Description
The Daily Northwestern serves students, faculty, administrative staff, alumni of Northwestern University and residents of Evanston as the news publication of record. The Daily print newspaper is distributed Monday through Friday during the academic year to over 60 campus and city locations. Digital content is also available online to the general public 24/7 through Dailynorthwestern.com, The Daily’s social media channels and email digests. News and editorial content is produced by a student staff, who gain real-world journalism experience in a peer-managed environment.
The goals of the program are (1) to increase the diversity in representation and perspective of the undergraduate student staff at The Daily Northwestern (2) to heighten the personal and social awareness of the paper’s reporting and editorial staff, and (3) to conceptualize and produce print and digital news through an empathetic and equitable lens to better serve and inform the readership of The Daily Northwestern.
