Description
his proposal consists of 2 interconnected Aims to investigate the effects of increased claudin-2 expression in pancreatic duct physiology and pancreatitis susceptibility. The results of this proposal should complement other results from my lab using Cldn2 knockout mice and ductal cell cultures (unpublished data), and will be used as preliminary evidence for a new RO1 grant application to further characterize mechanisms that regulate ductal cell permeability in homeostasis and pancreatitis.
