Project Details
Description
Medill Media Teens is headed into our sixth year of operation. As the director of the program, I plan for and teach 21 Saturdays a year (seven sessions in fall, eight in winter and six and spring). I also recruit and select mentors and teens each year, research and order equipment for the program, organize and maintain the large amount of equipment, grocery shop for students weekly, write grants, organize mentor training and celebrations, write annual evaluations for donors and speak at special Medill events about the program. I also spend a significant amount of time counseling and giving guidance to teens and Medill mentors during the week.
